Long before the internet, record labels trusted Encanta with their video tape masters, finished productions worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. We were in charge of duplicating those masters for distribution around the world.
That's where our discipline began, because a copy is only ever as good as the master behind it. Every tape we received went through deep technical quality control, scrutinized in detail. If one didn't meet the standard, we sent it back to be corrected before a single copy was made. That high standard paid off again years later, when everything went tapeless and high-definition, and we were responsible for migrating those masters to digital, preserving their maximum quality.
